Question 1

From what age can children start?

Accepted Answer

We can start with music really early. Children join the PIDILIDI music class from age 2 together with a parent, and the MINI class from age 3. I offer one-to-one early music lessons – piano, recorder, singing or music theory – for children aged 3 to 6. Older children and adults can learn singing and piano with me too.

Question 2

Where do the lessons take place?

Accepted Answer

I teach one-to-one lessons on Tuesdays at A2Z studio, on Wednesdays at the Wunderbaro music school (Uralská 6) and on Thursdays in Ládví. Group lessons run on Wednesdays at Wunderbaro. I'm happy to lead workshops and music classes for nurseries or institutions right at your place.

Question 3

How often should lessons take place?

Accepted Answer

A regular weekly lesson works best – the voice and good habits build up gradually. One-to-one lessons can also be arranged occasionally, for example as a one-off consultation.

Question 4

Does my child need a musical background?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. I teach everyone from complete beginners to advanced students – we start exactly where you are and move on at your pace.

Question 5

Do you work with children with special needs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I work sensitively and respectfully with children with attention or learning difficulties and with autistic children. I adapt the pace and format of the lessons to what suits the child.

Question 6

What does the first lesson look like?

Accepted Answer

The first lesson is a no-obligation introduction. We explore the voice, talk about goals and try a few exercises. No commitment going forward.

Question 7

How is tuition paid?

Accepted Answer

Tuition for regular lessons is always paid one term in advance. I'll happily go through the details when we arrange your lessons.

Question 8

What should I bring to a lesson?

Accepted Answer

For one-to-one lessons a good mood and comfortable clothes are enough – I'll prepare the sheet music and materials. For the music classes, bring comfortable clothes, a drink, slippers or warm socks, a sticker book, a folder for worksheets and a favourite cuddly toy for a sense of safety. For the recorder class, add a recorder and the workbook “Hrátky s flétnou, písničkami a pastelkami”.
